It is very much overkill, that is the point. They could have easily put a 4.X L blower on there and make as much power as this one, but even easier because as you mentioned less parasitic loss.

The dyno is a Dyno Dynamics. Bring some cars down to New Orleans and ill show you just how low it reads. They had a corvette dyno day and had several pro charged and vortech supercharged vettes and all of them were in the 430-440 range. They even had a guy with a C5 that has a C5R block (427) with all the goodies, trick flow heads, nice healthy cam, fast intake...I wanna say the guy said his car put down in the very very high 500's on another dyno (dynojet i believe) well he pown down 47x on that day and he was also the most powerful vette there that day.

I remember the first car they dyno'd. It was a cai,exhaust,t-stat,tuned SRT8 6 speed challenger...289rwhp.

Its funny cause my car "only" put down 412rwhp but im running times and trap speeds of some cars that have put down as high as 55x rwhp. Im speaking of our heavy mopars not anything ford or gm.

Yeah, I apologize. I didn't realize that he was referring to that rwhp on that specific dyno. Just goes to show you what 7 years of college is gd for!! I prob shouldn't skim through post. But more importantly, DAMN, that dyno is way low.

That's one badass car. Gd luck with the tires!!

lol...M&H's work really well. So good that when it was @ about 620rwhp with the old 671 Roots Blower it snapped a 1000HP DSS Axle.

Yeah dyno dynamics are devastatingly low, but it seems they are awesome for tuning purposes.

Funny that you say that. The dyno reads very low, but it is very consistent. Numbers dont jump around much. You can make 10 pulls in they all will be within 1-3 hp of one another, sometimes a fraction of a hp.

Killer looking car. Why don't you strap it down on a different dyno to get a more accurate number? I would definitely do it if it was my car.

I'd be much more interested knowing how fast it can do the 1/4.

X2...I wouldnt say its any more inaccurate than the 900rwhp it might put down on lets say a dynojet else where.

These are all very rough guesstimates. Lets say the engine is making 630bhp NA, now add 300hp from the blower. Looking @ 930bhp minus 15% drive train loss, is what? Roughly 790rwhp?? Im almost certain this car would make 850-900 rwhp on some of the more generous dyno's out there. So searching for that typical inflated number might make you feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside but i wouldnt say its any more accurate than the super low ball number.

I would say with a 1.6 sixty foot (decent traction) this car SHOULD run mid-low 10's in the 134-137mph area. As you know alot a variables. Take some weight out with perfect weather and track prep i could see it possibly running a 9sec pass.

For a comparision, the most my car put down on this dyno was 424rwhp and has gone a best of 11.6@118mph @ 4300lbs. So add a couple hundred lbs (blower+heavier driver) and 300rwhp and take a guess @ what it would run.
