I actually went to my installer and told them this yesterday on my way home from work. Had them set me at 100 while I was there.

Lug nut torque is just one of those things that everyone has a comfortable feeling with. Sort of like spark plug gaps.
Factory rating is 140 ft-lbs, which just seems abnormally high to me. I do not feel comfortable cranking them high. I've confirmed on numerous stock Camaros that the factory only sets them at 100 ft-lbs, despite what the owners manual suggests. I usually torque 14mm studs to 100 ft-lbs. Never had one come loose. And, I won't worry about stripping or busting a lug stud by pushing 140 at it. Tony
