Plenty of people have done it, should you, well that is a personal choice. For drag racing straight line, not a real issue, cornering could create issues with rolling that tire off the bead.

Do a search for that tire size and you may find some more threads to read about this subject.

Weekend car?

I am wanting to put a 305 on my stock rears also. I am at 650 rwhp so the stock tires go up in smoke pretty easily. I have set of track rims and tires on 18 m/t's. I would like to buy a set of m/t dr's , but I am worried about 9 inch rim. I never used nitto's, they do however come in a factory 20 size. I can drive on the stock p-zero's , but it is not nearly as much fun than have them stick and go. I also don't really enjoy the stockers breaking loose at 75 mph in 3rd gear.lol.

305 will fit on the stock wheels but not recommended. They won't contact the ground as they should so IMO if you are using the stock wheels stick with the 275's with that tire.

I am looking to have my stock wheels widened to 10.5 like this thread to make it work right: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...light=widening
