What feels better on the road??? SS or LT?

Figuring out my options for purchasing my first camaro in April.. It will either be the 2LT or 2SS...

I know the differences of the both, but anyone here drive both SS and LT, and can elaborate which feels better to drive????

Not speaking about just because SS has a bigger engine, can drive faster... I am looking for smoothness in driving... like your in the dalorean and your driving in the air... that type of smoothness...

Thanks guys...

If i buy a SS it will have to have lots of miles on it, cause i won't be able to afford modifications for a long time, unless i buy a LT, i can modify that in a years time... but I would like to know the smoothness of each... Its winter here where I am, and I will have to wait till April for a solid experience.

and the LT feels better every time you hit the gas station

I've driven both - the clutch in the SS is stiffer, and if it doesn't matter how quick you get to 60, they both ride pretty much the same. SS has more badassery in the exhaust note though.

Maybe you shouldn't be looking at Camaro at all. Why do you want a Camaro?

I started off with a 12' 1LT and traded to a 12' 1SS. The LT was a smoother ride but a softer suspension that you could feel in turns ( a little bit sloppier or loose) The SS has a stiffer suspension and it is a little bit bumpier/bouncier ride but take it into the turns and it holds the road much better and is a tighter ride. Just go and test drive both and see/feel for your self.

Heres the deal. If you want don't want to mod the car, get the LT. HOWEVER, if you do want to, which seems like that is your case, get the SS. The reason being because with the v6, you WILL eventually hit the barrier where there's nothing left to do anymore, and you'll only be craving more. So in your case, get the SS, otherwise, you'll experience buyer's remorse. Thank me later

I've had both. My V6 didn't ride that much different than my SS as far as comfort is concerned. Sure is a lot more fun to step on the gas in the SS, though. Ride for yourself and make the call that's the best for you.

If you're gonna mod it to add HP might as well start with the best foundation, the SS. If you're just worried about looks then the LT is the way to go.

I rented a Camaro before I bought one. It was a 2010 1LT and it was plenty fast for me and it was IOM and more than one person gave me a "thumbs-up". I stopped at a McDonald's for a pit stop and a guy in another Camaro came up and he had a V6 as well and stated he wished he had the V8. Given my own car at time was an old 4 cyl the Camaro's V6 felt plenty strong enough.

However, I couldn't resist the SS, always wanted one, and it is all it is cracked up to be. And it is "the base" for all the modding you could care to want to do.

Either way you will have a great car.
