LS7 motors for sale
I am not sure where this stuff should be posted, so please move it if it needs to be. I know on the bike sites I'm on, there is a for sale section.
There are a few motors for sale on ebay. One of them is from the "FactoryFive" guys. I know a lot of you know who they are. Here are some links: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= I would be interested myself, but as I stated in the other Ebay thread, I don't have time nor money to do this swap. I am putting on a 2 car garage for the camaro, plus two bedrooms above, so no extra money. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...3AIT&viewitem= |

After what you'd have to do to a $70K car to total it, I wouldn't be worried at all about a drivetrain pulled from that car...

wow! i would love to get ahold of that for my camaro. what is involved in swaping out the 6.2 to the 7.0? will the tranny and rear end hold up or even match up? i would be very interested in doing the sema ls7 swap but in the "black" camaro body.

(One of the reason's I haven't ordered a 5th Gen. yet.) |

Yeah. I think I saw that on crateenginedepot.com the LS7 was going for like 14-15k
I don't know where I saw it but I actually saw that one of the websites, maybe it was GMPP's web site or something and there was some sort of announcement of the LS9 soon going to be available but I heard the LS9 was going to cost northward of the high 20k's.... YIKES!!!

The transmission shouldn't even be a problem. I believe the tranny is used with much more extreme motors. My plan was to buy the LS7 to install while building the LS3 to handle the supercharger they use on the LS9. The LS3 is the motor in the new ZR1 that they supercharged. Obviously the internals and heads are altered, but the blocks are the same. The alternate and better plan is to find a LS3 to build up (to an LS9) and drop in. Unfortunately I am not able to answser that for you. I am not sure what the Camaro is coming with, nor what the LS7 requires.
Sorry |
