Car is a total loss...
...got my first door ding. I'm going to drive it to the desert and light it on fire now. lol.
So bummed. It's right on the edge of the door. I was picking up my teenage daughter and she threw the door open right into a concrete pillar. The crunch will haught me for weeks.

Same thing happened to me....my mom and I where at a car meet, she was in the passenger seat, flings the door opened, and hits the mustang next to her, and the owner was still in the car luckily the guy was cool about it, and no damage was done to his car, a slight paint chip to mine. But I know how you feel! Shouldn't be too expensive to fix though

This is a design flaw from my perspective. The doors should not swing open so effortlessly to prevent hitting something with the door. My BMW doors open and stop at about 30, 45, 60 degrees for safety purposes. The doors will stop themselves at approximately these degrees until you open to the next increment. My advice is to warn anyone getting into your vehicle to be very careful opening the doors.

2 dents in my passenger door (one unknown how, the other the dealership) within 4 months...almost made me want to trade the car in! Only drive once a month or so, what are the chances!!! Lucky the paintless dent repair done you can't even find them.
Funny...our 2010 has never had a door ding/dent and it's a daily driver |
