PDIM required no update for me, and i use a USB stick that works great. i got the USB stick for $5 and it indexes in less than 2 minutes every time i start the car and it searches as fast as my ipod. i think you have been misinformed

bose system doesn't exist. they are boston acoustics. you've been misinformed again.

and why the hell would you buy spare cloth seats?
Nope 4 miles on the 2010 1ss $27K -$4k for trade -$1k down payment I paid $22k plus tax and title. no lie!

2SS 8 dealers I checked Lowest was $38k highest was $42k.

Even today as I was just at the dealer $28.5k 1SS 2011 6 miles black.

Spare cloth seats = 5 year old child who sits in the car. Accidental rips tears, spills, food stains, etc. No eatting in the car but kids hide candy and such in the oddest places on them.

Adding options myself

Got the 1SS because it was considerably cheaper than the 2SS. I've only had my 1SS camaro convertible a few months but have already added heated OEM Leather myself. The leather was a take off a 2012 camaro convertible that i picked up on ebay for 400. Installed them myself. Along with the rally stripes and cold air intake from G5CR and the gill stripes. Love the car so far. I'm looking at adding the cluster gauges but my local dealer doesnt know if they will fit the 2012 camaro. There computer says it will fit 2010-2011 models. Has anyone added the gauges to there 2012?

well now we hear more of the story. hate to tell you this, but i would guess you got raped on your trade in. either that or something is wrong with your car (hail damage, etc.). you realize it just is not logical on any level for a dealer to sell a brand new car for a loss, right? $5k under MSRP would most likely be for a pretty significant loss to a dealer unless they were hoping you weren't reading between the lines.

and just in case anyone else reads this, any car grossly under or above MSRP as noted by a manufacturer should be a cause for concern. in america there is no reason you should pay anything other than what chevrolet advertises on its website. and that includes $42k for a 2SS unless it was a convertible...totally bogus. btw, it also makes no sense the dealer would overcharge for a 2SS and undercharge for a 1SS. if dealers are greedy, you'll see it on all of their prices.

Sorry gotta disagree. People will buy things they want, dealers know this. There was a fully loaded 2SS/RS vert with every option (including gm approved dealer installed options...grill, mudflaps etc. with a MSRP of like 48k plus a 3000 markup. Guess what? It sold. Dealers are able to get MSRP ( or more) from 2SS sales because they are more desired by the consumer, you know, that whole supply vs demand thing. My 1SS was sitting on the lot for months, they gave it away because MANY soon to be Camaro owners want all the little extras that come with a 2SS.

1SS/RS definitely did not want the leather ( for the many reasons outlined above ), didnt care about the HUD, added the gauge pack, bluetooth, steering wheel controls. Just made more sense to buy the 1SS and add the thing i wanted rather than the 2SS and remove the leather.

I love all the Camaro's, but I love to have the whistles and the bells. Come to think of it... I have not seen a 1SS on a lot in a long time.. I've been to a lot of Chevrolet lots recently. A lot of 2SS's but never any 1SS's.. Hmm...

I bought a 2ss vert and got a good deal, when I was looking around none of the dealers had 1ss, and if you wanted to order you would pay MSRP, so in Canada it pays to get the 2ss as dealers are discounting them because they have them. Anything special ordered goes for full MSRP. But hey, up here we over pay for everything, thats why we like to travel south to shop

point is if chevrolet sells a 27k SS and then a 42k SS with a few more options, i think most sane people would opt for the 27k SS. the reality however is that the difference is only 3.6k between the two. just something a little peculiar about that particular situation, that's all
