Dumping my lemon of a Camaro

I have spent two months fighting with the dealership and Chevrolet Customer Service to get my car fixed for things that should have been resolved before I ever bought the vehicle. I have never had so many issues in 4 months of owning a car than I have with this thing. I am pretty sure the transmission needs to be replaced because every "fix" the two dealerships have performed on it have not fixed the problem and it has actually gotten worse. I have noticed I am not the only one with the shifting issues but it has gotten to the point where I skip shifting into 2nd or 3rd gear anymore.

I will begin the process of finding another car to buy so I can get rid of this thing.

I will never own a Chrysler product. I refuse to grow a mullet and I like to keep the sleeves on my shirt so owning a Challenger would never work out. I would consider another Camaro because I really do like the car but this whole experience has just turned me off from wanting to own another of their vehicles.

Thats too bad. We've had other V6 M owners here with issues get the whole thing replaced and all is well. Its too bad they won't do the same for you.

You are left with Mustang or something Asian

There is a local that had GM and the dealership buy back his 2012 SS, because they coudln't fix his transmission. Poor guy had the car in the shop for 45 days and now has a new Colorado 4x4. Sorry to hear you are having issues. I've been lucky, over 33k miles and still going strong.

The chances are that a new one won't have all the problems. Mine has 0 problems and it's 2 1/2 years old. I have the 1SS/RS with M6 and I love it. Actually my e-brake handle was going down hard but after installing the 4 gauge pack it stopped being hard, I think the carpet was getting caught on it before. Good luck to you.

I drove the Mustang and they just ride horribly and are uncomfortable inside to me. The Camaro fit me perfectly and I would love to have another one. I am going to start searching for one to see if I can find another M6 and before I buy it will have the car basically taken apart to see if there are any issues with it. I didn't realize I needed to do that with the one I bought but I guess it would have been the best idea.

You hate Mopars, and don't like the Mustang. You are stuck, then. Unless you want a POS rice burner.

Cause every one knows no other car models have lemons. I know it is frustrating but some times stuff happens. Ive had mine for over 2 years with only 1 minor issue that they fixed immediately. Later!

Yeah, I have realized that. A ricer will never be allowed in my garage. I have started looking for another Camaro since I know there isn't a whole lot else to look at. The biggest thing I am looking for is a manual which has become like finding the holy grail.
