Can someone please tell me why Pedders Xa coilovers are $1711 and PFADT's equivalent coilovers are $2490? Now I know it is not always the case but generally speaking a higher end product usually cost a bit more. I have heard both companies and their venders sales pitches and how many races they have won so that's not what I am wanting to hear. The fact of the matter both are very good companies and have good customer service. I would just like to know why one coilover cost almost $800 more. Is it because PFADT has been around longer, they have a bigger name, their product is made of lighter weight materials, more expensive materials, etc? Anyone know?

If you want to spend more you can buy the Pedders Super Car coilover, nothing is better than that. And I'm not sure why you think Pfadt is a bigger name than Pedders because Pedders is huge especially in Australia and has a hell of a presence in the U.S.

I like these

Dude I am not saying they have a bigger name. I am ASKING if the reason PFADT is more expensive is because of any of those examples. Those were questions not statements. As far as being big in Australia that doesn't matter to me. They can't even spell tyre correctly. Hehe.

Another thing. Why is it that PFADT have their own control arms and tie rods and pedders don't?

GM did a good job on the arms, they are not needed in most cases.

The Toe links we offer the ZL1 units that are better than the other options our there.

The LCA's are very good from the factory.

Also, on the 'when everything goes wrong' end of things, if you make the arms way stiffer, and contact a curb or something, the subframe will fail instead of the inexpensive arms.

Pedders doesn't make parts just to make money, they make parts that are going to fix, improve, or enhance your car. This is the reason that we do not make a Strut Tower Brace for the Camaro, it doesn't need it.

Dude Pfadt isn't more expensive. Companies can charge what they want.

People choose BMR, Pfadt, Eibach, Pedders just because of what they read. I have some Pfadt stuff but I'm in the middle of switching to Pedders. Read and research is all I can say

Why do you say they are not more expensive? They are more expensive. Go look at their sites. What PFADT stuff are you replacing and why?

Ok so out of those 62 years how long have they been designing and engineer suspension parts for corvettes and/or camaros?
