skipping when cold

I have read others post about this, I think. When the engine is cold, it skips until it warms up. While I have read others post, "Warm it up before driving," I don't think this should be happening. Anyone have thoughts?

What do you mean by "skipping"?? Are you talking about the rattle noise that comes from the engine when very cold? Thats piston slap, a common problem on the LSx series of engines, every one I've owned did it, don't worry about it.

I think the OP is referring to the herky jerkys when cold. Yes, my LS3 has done that from day one. I can't stand it but it seems to be the nature of a cold LS3 from what I've read on this site. Wish there was some sort of solution for this behavior. It is annoying for sure even though it does not take long for it to warm up and the jerky behavior to smooth out...

Yeah, it has not been a big problem at all for me. It will smooth out very quickly. I have read that a good tuner can tune this out.

Just stand on it, and it goes away. (So does everything else)

if im not mistaken, all 5th gen camaros are drive by wire. So there is no linkage to adjust on the gas pedal

mine did the "herky jerky" too but now i just wake up 5 minutes earlier and fire her up for a few minutes before i leave to work so i never experience that anymore.

but i'll sleep better at night nowhing that the herky jerky is a normal thing.

Normal, or just common?

Normally common or Commonly Normal.
I have a LS3 and occasionally felt it when car was new. It wasn't a big deal as people make it out to be. It now has 2800 miles, Supercharged and Tuned and I can start and immediately drive off and it is smooth.
