Hey Stig, how did the Braille 2317 battery work? It is a lot lower than stock on the CCA ratings.

A decent price for a 94R is $139 to $159. Oreillys sales East Penn batteries under their label, which are manufactured in USA.

I have a battery store and its what we carry, very good battery.

I would not put an odyssey/optima in the car. I don't really care for optimas at all, although odyssey batteries are excellwnt, its overkill for this application.

The braile batteries are just rebranded Dekas, sold for outrageous prices. Deka and East Penn merged several years ago.

If you are so inclined to go with a braille, let me know which one, and I will tell you the Deka part # so you can find it cheaper.

I also thought about replacing mine with a Deka, but is it such a great idea to remove weight from the rear?

Optima does not make a direct replacement battery for the Camaro. And as such, anything you throw in the trunk will require modification. I can't find anything in that link that shows how an Optima Red Top was installed. Did I miss something?
Wow this guy was an ass. Do all my work for me!!!

Make sure you're buying an AFM battery and NOT a lead acid. If you buy a lead acid, the system will overcharge it and could cause it to leak and corrode the terminals, and degrade the battery from being over charged. They charging system is designed for AFM battery's which require higher charging voltages and different amperages than lead acid.

I understand that the SEARS AGM battery is made by Penn as well and have been a great battery.

I actually just bought mine from the dealership. With a coupon (they always have them in the mail around here) it was actually the cheapest deal I found at the time.
