Torn b/w headers

I'm having a difficult time trying to decide on what complete exhuast system I want to put on my fiancee's car. I like how Tag's car sounds with his full Stainless Works kit, however I see more and more people going with the ARH headers instead of Stainless Works. However I haven't heard another agressive note like the one from Tag's car come out of anyone elses car with a set of ARH headers. I also would like to keep the whole system the same from one manufacturer instead of having headers from one , x-pipe from one and an exhaust from another. What do you guys think?

With the ARH you can put any exhaust on the back that you want...that is one big benefit. You are able to choose any sound you want.

I have ARH on my car, and I promise you it is as aggressive if not more than TAG's car. His sounds awesome too. I have almost straight pipes and it sounds like a big block....I have also installed Borlas onto the ARH kit, and they are not as loud but have a great deep tone to them.

That is one thing the Stainless works system cannot do, you have to use their full system.

I am about to put an SLP Powerflo onto my car because it was too loud!!

Hope that helped some.

If you have any questions or need pricing/ordering info please get in touch, i will set you up!!

It believe Borla will be bringing LTs to the market soon, so that may be an option for a full exhaust from one company.

I think TAG's car sounds great. It might even be a little too loud for my tastes, however, I'm sure that's only a muffler swap away. ARH and Corsa almost seem, to me, like they have perhaps an indirect working relationship because I see so many of those combinations on 'Vettes, and even on tuners working with Camaro. I don't know why that is, but it seems to be pretty predominate.

I don't think you can go wrong with Stainless Works since they have a complete exhaust that's designed to work together. I haven't read little to any complaints as far as products go.

JMVHO.

Doug Thorley Headers offers a complete package that sounds real nice and 1/3 of the price if you get on the list now. Their products pull impressive numbers on the dyno too. Check 'em out in the Vendor thread.

What about Kooks or BBK Headers? And as far as power is concerned, do ARH still have the best results for their headers?

The ARH have the best numbers so far.....The short type headers will never come close in the power gains.
Kooks are a close second, but ARH provides the full kit and it will work with any axle-back system and the Kooks is designed to fit their own system

How do you think BBK will compare when they reveal their long tubes? I plan on using long tubes, no cats, x-pipe and exhaust. My fiancee's previous car was a mustang gt with no cats, bbk x-pipe and exhaust.

I am ordering Stainless Works full exhaust today! Just like Tags but without cats. This exhaust is so awsome.

Hello guys just to educate everyone about Kooks Custom Headers our system is designed to work with all of the aftermarket Catbacks. As well as our own. We also offer a corsa connection pipe in a catted and off road version. I hope this helps you guys out because we see allot of threads that say you can only run our axle back with our system.

Hope this answer's a few questions.

Very nice, I had Kook's headers on my 05 and 06 GTO and had great results.
I'm also thinking about keeping my stock catback that connects up with a GMPP axle back.
I'm thinking about keeping the stock resonators in place because I don't want it to get too loud.
So this might be the setup for me.
