Nope.

This one

We plumb it with -12 lines with Brown and Miller Racing crimped on fittings. Using the -12 lines we are confident the flow through the hose and bends in fittings is equal to a -8 internal style journal / hard line.

I used Amsoil 5w30 signature series in the ZL1 and 10w-30 Amsoil Dominator racing oil in the Z/28. I have heard that 15w-50 may cause higher temps due to the oil pump working overtime to pump thicker weight oils. Myth? Not sure but it seemed my oil temps were higher with 15w-50. My oil pressure seems ok but it drops significantly when the temps are high (290-300°F). At idle, my oil pressure is usually 2.8-3 bar but will lower to 1.0-1.2 bar at idle when the oil is scorching hot.

Always run the oil your engine builder specifies

Awesome. Like I said in the Z/28 topic. I'd be interested in this if you can put a kit together.

These are the main components to the oil cooler kit.

Convoluted PTFE Hose http://www.bmrs.net/PTFE_hose_01.html
Crimped on Race Quality Fittings http://www.bmrs.net/AC-crimped_fittings_01.html
Massive Fluidynne Cooler https://www.summitracing.com/parts/f...0618/overview/
Improved Racing Oil Block with or without Thermostat http://www.improvedracing.com/oil-co...12f-p-435.html

We are working out the details for a bolt on bracket as opposed to the custom brackets we have been making. The lines and fittings are the best you can buy to minimize any potential for leaks.

Pete,

If you do work out the "details" that would definitely help and speed up installation. Thank you and standing by.

I am looking for a virgin engine bay and front end to do the bracket prototype. For some reason, none of the cars in my shop really fit that profile

Anyone near Martinsville VA in need of a deal on an aoil cooler system?

When I had my ZL1 I ran it a few times at over 300*F. Always changed my oil around 3,000 miles and always did an oil analysis report. Every time the engine looked to be healthy. So if you get it near 300*F I wouldn't be too worried. Definitely wouldn't make a habit of it though.

Absolutely love it. The thing is beast. I've only changed out the pads and brake fluid. On the same tire (Nitto NT01) as my modified ZL1 I am over 4 seconds per lap faster at Texas World Speedway.
