I lived in West Michigan for 31yrs. Only vehicles I ever owned were Firebrids, Trans Ams and a 70 GTO. Then drove a beater Monte in the winter. It's not much fun and I thank god everyday I moved to Florida. Now I can drive everyday with zero issues and every nut and bolt underneath the car still looks new years later.

Good call on the beater and keeping the car.

You mean the same price you will pay to replace your four tires 5 times on those 21"s?

im just down the road from you in MPLS. when it comes to it the only time it may be tough to drive is during a snow storm. i drove mine this past winter (towards the end) as long as it was not snowing and the roads were plowed.

just read through the posts on here about winter tires. some swear by them. and say their camaro is like a tank in the snow with them.

Winter tires help a TON! I used them last year. But it's not nearly as good as a FWD car or a AWD car. They help, but you always wonder if your going to get stuck.

First things first, mods don't add value to the car) : and if you traded it in, they would remove mods and give it back to you because they need the OEM parts just in case the next buyer crashes or something and needs a replacement. He/She won't be able to get an aftermarket replacement, blah blah blah and stuff like that. Letting you sell your mods

I bought a used set of those GM 21's with bald tires and have found it to be rather unaffordable to replace those tires.

I paid $12,001 for my 2010 LT1 with 60k miles on it, and some minor damage that just needed painting. Also a new front bumper cover (went with SS). It came with 15% tint on back glass, 35% on the back windows, a 12in sub installed in trunk, 19in tires and sunroof. It also doesn't have the speed limiter in it so 118 is not my stopping point.

You should be able to sell it for min of 19k, don't do a trade in EVER

I live 3 hours NE of you and bought mine last year with the intent of buying a cheap truck for winter use until I found out everyone selling there truck with 100k on it wanted an arm and a leg for it. I decided that it was meant to be driven. I have never owned a 4WD in my life. Last vehicle, 2004 Monte Carlo FWD, before that a 2WD Dodge Dakota. Out of all the vehicles owned this one I thought was the best in snow and only used the all season tires that were on it. The 2 major snow storms we had I should have stayed home but made the 13 mile trek to work and one of the storms there was about 6 or 7 trucks in the ditch the first 6 miles. No, that was not fun, but the rest of the winter I didn't mind driving it at all, of course the roads were good most of the time. I figured I am going to enjoy the car good weather or bad, it is my DD. Until I can find that deal that I am looking for on a pickup I will keep on driving it.

Dean.
