Heritage grille and Street Scene ducted lower grille
May 27th - GM Heritage grille painted RJT with billet SS emblem from http://www.sparksrestorations.com/ as well as Street Scene ducted lower grille from www.PFYC.com installed today. IMHO car looks completely different with these two front pieces. Installed by UltraColor of Richmond. They will be painting the stripes in a few weeks as well. |

New Painted Tail Light Bezels And Rear Billet SS
Swapped chrome plated tail light bezels for painted body matched bezels. Not seeing the chrome plated bezels will have to grow on me because I liked them but this looks seems more stealthy.
Swapped the rear chrome plated Camaro letters I put on a few weeks ago after I had removed the bowtie for this billet SS emblem. I thought the letters would grow on me but they never did. I definitely like this look better. Some after and before shots. |

Coilovers, BMR Suspension, Yank SS3200, Tranny Cooler and Driveshaft Loop Installed
First, a big thank you to Heintz Racing for installing the following last week. Zach, Jeff and all the guys at Heintz Racing provided great service and excellent pricing!!
Yank SS3200 Torque Converter B&M Transmission Cooler Metco Driveshaft Loop BC Racing Coilovers BMR Front radius rod bushings BMR Rear Differential Bushing Kit, Pro Version BMR Full Cradle Bushing Kit, Pro Version BMR Trailing Arms Dropped the car off 7/13 and picked her up 7/15. Car lowered about an 1". Yank really wakes up the car. Almost wish I had gotten the SS3600 since the SS3200 drives pretty close to stock. Also, a big thank you to Auto Agenda and Apex Chase for the parts, great price, fast shipping and excellent service! |

Under The Car With The New Parts
First, a big thank you to Heintz Racing for installing the following last week:
Yank SS3200 Torque Converter B&M Transmission Cooler Metco Driveshaft Loop BC Racing Coilovers BMR Front radius rod bushings BMR Rear Differential Bushing Kit, Pro Version BMR Full Cradle Bushing Kit, Pro Version BMR Trailing Arms Dropped the car off 7/13 and picked her up 7/15. Car lowered about an 1". Yank really wakes up the car. Almost wish I had gotten the SS3600 since the SS3200 drives pretty close to stock. The BCR coilovers eliminate the rear bounce the stock struts made. Used the recommended rebound settings from Whiteside Customs--12 front and 6 rear. |

Drove the car back from Mooresville, NC yesterday so I'm working of my review of the BCR coilovers and BMR bushings and will submit that later this week. Until then, I will simply say I did not experience any of the squeaking, thumping, clanking, clunking or any similar kind of noises others say they encounter after installing suspension upgrades. Other than being able to hear the rear gears now I didn't experience any other NVH, and the BCRs eliminated the rear bounce of the stock setup.

BCR Coilovers Review
First, a big thank you to AutoAgenda and BC Racing for offering a solid value-to-performance product. Secondly, I also want to thank Heintz Racing in Mooresville, NC for a superb install experience. The 9 hour round trip was worth every mile. Zach and Jeff run a top-notch business.
Ordering Online – Ordering through AutoAgenda was very easy and they offered free shipping. 5 / 5 Stars - Excellent Receipt and Inspection – Coilovers were package very well including the box being banded because of its weight. Coilovers also included two spanner wrenches for adjusting the height as well as two rebound adjustment extenders for the rear. 5 /5 – EXCELLENT Installation – Heintz Racing didn’t mention any issues regarding the install. I didn’t want holes drilled in my trunk so I didn’t use the rebound adjustment extenders. Car is lowered approximately an inch. I asked Heintz Racing to adjust the rebound settings to 12 front and 6 rear based on the recommendations from Whiteside Customs. 5 /5 – EXCELLENT Noise - I haven’t experienced any additional driving or road vibrations because of these coilovers. 5 /5 - Excellent Vibration – I haven’t experienced any additional driving or road vibrations because of these coilovers. 5 / 5 – Excellent Harshness – I haven’t experienced any additional driving or road harshness because of these coilovers. Additionally, the rear end bounce I usually felt with the stock struts is gone. 5 / 5 – Excellent Overall Experience – I realize some are brand loyal or have label envy. While I’m also occasionally guilty of that I’m more concerned with price-to-value. That said, I was able to purchase these coilovers, BMR bushing kits and trailing arms, and have everything professionally installed and aligned for much less than the cost of a “brand” set of coilovers. I don't believe I have sacrificed any level of performance for the daily driving I do. 5 / 5 – Excellent Last edited by 2010 L99; 08-04-2011 at 09:49 AM. |
