I ordered from gmpartsdirect.com in July and got the same message. I didn't cancel the order, and had the reservoir 2 weeks later.

OR
You could make a metal bracket, so you could mount the bracket and then bend it to get the reservoir level.

I might go back and do something....it's just tight getting you hands in there to get everything level and straight.

It seems to work fine...just a little tilted. No one else would probably notice.

The hardest part is finding the resivoir. They are on national back order. There were 2 left in FL but they may be gone by now.

There isn't a real good level area as well so my resivoir is tilted upwards some. Still looks okay.

It doesn't take very much fluid at all to fill it up. Like 1 - 1.5 oz.

BTW: Even after getting the shaft for the acutal resivoir I have about $40 and about 2hrs in the whole thing.
Not trying to disrespect you but if you look at the start of this thread you can see i moved my battery lead down so i have a flat place to mount the new reservoir.

Im guessing they only used one, because people would cry about the engine compartment looking cluttered if there were two. Hence the ugly ass engine cover.

Your right.....I didn't notice you moved the cable.

When I looked at how to mount it I saw the specialized clip in zip tie thing GM used hold the positive cable in place. I didn't have one and it look like you couldn't take it apart without cutting it. I guess I should've waited and looked into picking one up from GM but knowing how those things go it probably would've been $5 for a $.02 part.

Mine is slightly tilted but it does hold the fluid just fine and I'm able to get enough fluid in there to get to the fill line. If it were flat I might have been able to get ever so slightly more fluid in there but not much.

In hine sight I probably should've moved the cable to get a flat surface like you did. Ultimately it does look like a cleaner install and probably would've given me more room to make the mounting holes.

So.....those who are looking at doing this, condsider moving your positive cable down and mounting where the OP mounted his.

Got mine in this weekend. You might notice from the pics that it's a bit crooked. The hose was too long so it kinks if I turn the reservoir straight so next time I change the fluid I'll lop an inch off the hose and level it out. The T bracket can be found at Home Depot next to the fasteners, the holes in the T part line up perfectly with the holes in the reservoir.
I'll let you know after a few burners if it seems to be working.
