They are not headrests but head restraints. I'm going on a limb to assume one of the reasons done for this was that people do NOT properly adjust the head restraint when they sit in a seat. Most people think it should be a comfy place to rest the head which, if adjusted that way will not be good in an accident. This design will help solve that problem.
That said I found the car very comfortable to drive and don't think they look funny at all. |
