That would be great Bo. If the weather was better in NY I'd be doing the testing as well. Actually were expecting 20-36" if snow by Tuesday!

The LSA TB and LS3/LS7 TB look completely different. There is no mixing them up. The shop I deal with warned me that they had gone through this before and told me there were no gains in HP. Determined to prove them wrong. I had them finish my mods and tune my car with the stock TB. Then had them switch to the VMAX and run the car on the dyno again there should have been a blue baseline run line on the dyno sheet and a red VMAX run line. I basically got a printout with one green line on it. Lol. They were right!! No gain,on my car anyways. I'd have been happy with even 5HP. At least got something for my money

I know this isn't a specific answer to your question, but I put down 477rwhp stock and 500rwhp with a CAI brand cold air intake and a ported LSA throttle body. This was on a mustang dyno and my car is an M6.

My engineer friend tells me the throttle body does not open 100%. Also in stock form it creates a plenum behind it to accelerate the airflow to help the air skip above the intake tract of the blower thereby reducing drag. He said any gains at all that will be realized by milling the shaft. The shaft is what creates turbulence. Bo, what are your thoughts?

I've seen gains on N/A cars with and without the half shaft mod.

Not to get off track to much; but, has anyone used the Jet performance throttle body and is it a 87mm or 90mm? There site has the same part number for LSA and LS3. Thank you.
