It says that it's a tube type,I don't recall ever running a tube in a radial tire
Hmmm, that's interesting!!! Thanks for the info Ron. I wonder what the speed rating is on this one? The load rating is pretty low too. But I suppose it would work!! Hopefully, M&H comes out with something here soon. You're right $250 a piece is kinda high.

Yes,load range seems a bit low. But if you would compare a 15" skinny,it's about the same load range.
It would not be a 150+mph tire for sure. But for a daily driver that would rarely see 100+mph. Or just a quick blast down the track. It would be a decent tire. It's just the price tag that is out of wack.
The average tire 15-16" wheel, the speed rating is only 112-118 anyway. And I'm sure some of us went faster with a 15" 60 series tires in a older Camaro or Mustang more than once.

Same here,I have 17" for the rear. I'm not in a hurry to get the fronts because of the tire. So,if M&H or M/T makes a nice 28" radial in a 17. Good chance that I'll buy a pair also if the $ is reasonable.

Coker Tire specializes in discontinued tires and tire sizes for antique cars, so I'm not surprised.

There was a time where radial tires were mostly tube type. Michelin X and the sportier Michelin XAS in the 1960's, just off the top of my head.

Supposedly there is some difference between a radial tire inner tube and a bias ply tire inner tube, but I don't know what it might be.

It's actually possible to run tubes with tubeless radial tires.

You will see a 17"x28" tall radial front runner from M&H in a couple of months.

As mentioned above, there are no other options. I currently run the 26" M&H radial on mine. Well, it may not look the best, it does the job and I can still drive to and from the track. Braking does suffer quite a bit.

When I last spoke to M&H they were 4-6 months out for a 28" tall. They were doing the R&D and cost implications to produce it. However, based on their bias ply sales, they really thought this woud be coming to market. This was a lot better than the answer I got from MT about producing one.

Good info though, thanks for chiming in Bad70Supreme!!! At least we know....it's an option now!!
What do you think will actually happen putting that tire on a 5in rim? I run the M/T 305/35/20 on a 9in stock wheel and they call for a 10-12in rim. I've made over 80 passes and drive 190 mile round trip to the track on them. And had them up to 155mph. I know the tire would have hooked and had better wear on the proper rim, but it's what i had.

The people that are crazy are the ricers that stretch the tires..

I'm still really surprised that Mickey Thompson has not produced a radial skinny. I keep telling Jason Moulton over there to do it, not sure what gets them to pull the trigger. Heck even a 27" tall would do it for me.
