Yes,load range seems a bit low. But if you would compare a 15" skinny,it's about the same load range.
It would not be a 150+mph tire for sure. But for a daily driver that would rarely see 100+mph. Or just a quick blast down the track. It would be a decent tire. It's just the price tag that is out of wack. The average tire 15-16" wheel, the speed rating is only 112-118 anyway. And I'm sure some of us went faster with a 15" 60 series tires in a older Camaro or Mustang more than once. |

Same here,I have 17" for the rear. I'm not in a hurry to get the fronts because of the tire. So,if M&H or M/T makes a nice 28" radial in a 17. Good chance that I'll buy a pair also if the $ is reasonable.

There was a time where radial tires were mostly tube type. Michelin X and the sportier Michelin XAS in the 1960's, just off the top of my head. Supposedly there is some difference between a radial tire inner tube and a bias ply tire inner tube, but I don't know what it might be. It's actually possible to run tubes with tubeless radial tires. You will see a 17"x28" tall radial front runner from M&H in a couple of months.

As mentioned above, there are no other options. I currently run the 26" M&H radial on mine. Well, it may not look the best, it does the job and I can still drive to and from the track. Braking does suffer quite a bit.
When I last spoke to M&H they were 4-6 months out for a 28" tall. They were doing the R&D and cost implications to produce it. However, based on their bias ply sales, they really thought this woud be coming to market. This was a lot better than the answer I got from MT about producing one.

I'm still really surprised that Mickey Thompson has not produced a radial skinny. I keep telling Jason Moulton over there to do it, not sure what gets them to pull the trigger. Heck even a 27" tall would do it for me.
