Can you press on the area and feel a loose space between it and the dashboard? Mine sort of looks like that in a small area, but when I press on it, there is no give at all. It seems attached to the surface below it.

Also, if you look at it from the side, can you see the raised spots from that angle? Mine looks pretty flat from the side, so I'm not sure if I have this problem (yet) or not.

I'm always paranoid about dash damage from sunlight. That's why the first thing I do is get the windows tinted dark, and I always put up a windshield shade when parked in the sun.

@ 900 miles as of this morning, dash is perfect. I'll keep a sharp eye on it.

Landau top adhesive should hold it down permanently if it is seperating from the plastic dash, but that isn't exactly easy to obtain.

Mine looks fine and it's the same as the pics since I drove it off the lot. It looks like leather stretched over plastic, which looks much better than plastic... If an edge lifted or something then I'd care.

EDIT: No "give" to it.

Not sure if it's real....it looks and feels like leather to me. It's nice upgrade from the 10-11 dash, but not if it's going to start falling apart. No problems on mine yet, but I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Oh crap. I'm getting visions of C5 Corvette doors. Same thing happens (to some). Not good.

The Corvette leather is vacuumed/glued on and there are little sealed holes on the back of the door skin. I don't know if it would be the same for the Camaro leather on the dash, and frankly I can't see a way to get behind it.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c5-g...up-how-to.html

This is a how to on that process. Someone may be able to use part of the write-up to find a fix or a DIY. Good luck OP, hope this gets fixed for you!

its definitely because its a triple curve in the area. As everything contracts and expands it pulls it away from the dash carrier, this is ultra common on alot of older exotic cars, thats why now you rarely see leather wrapped in an indent bordered by two humps. It's a bit of a cardinal rule of upholstry and surprised GM did this. I could see them TSBing this to swap in to a 10-11 dash carrier. It's just a bad idea on a dash they coulda left as it was and just upgraded the console stack, dash cluster etc. Hizzah!!!!! for my bland plastic dash lol.

Anyone else have this?
When I wipe that area of dash it makes a popping, crackling sound. I'm guessing the glue has lost its hold and it's just a matter of time before a bubble appears.

Mine visibly move around and you can see where air has filled in to the bubbles.

Yes, I was going to post the exact some thing until I found this thread. I can replicate your image 100%. Mine is bubbling in the exact same spot.

Will post photo when I get home.

I understand its just a bubble, but I didn't put my money into something new to have an inferior quality dash panel come apart. Talking to my dealer soon.

If it's a widespread enough problem, they will issue a TSB to address it. Unless you're nearing the end of your 3/36 warranty, it would be best to wait to see if a TSB comes forward. Why? If you don't, they'll just put the same inferior design right back in the defect's place. Don't know about any of you, but I really don't want a tech tearing into my interior any more than is absolutely necessary. If anything, have them draw up an invoice to show the complaint, but don't let them fix it. That will at least make GM aware of the issue. My $.02
