It's a really restrictive warranty. And honestly it wouldn't be very helpful.

If you pay for the 5/100,000 warranty, it costs around $800.00 and it breaks down like this: $5000.00 for engine damage; $1500.00 lubricated transmission internals; and $1500 rearend damage.

That's $8000. Compared to health insurance or car insurance that is insanely expensive compared to what you get for your premiums.

That said, I would probably buy the warranty but the terms are so restrictive. I don't even think you can change the tires to different brands--definitely can't change the exhaust. Everything has to be left stock.

I only read the warranty once, I may do it again. It's not the easiest thing to read. So I still have some questions on it.

I just checked the Edelbrock web site (as I have been doing daily for news on when their SC kit will be ready) and it now says 'Late April'. Crap!
