Virginity is broken

So was driving on the highway this morning when my HUD went crazy.. Every light started flashing and the ABS, Brake , and CE lights came on....

Have a friend who works at the Chevy dealership, took it in and I need a new Brake and ABS module..

He said it was common???

Has anyone else heard of this?

The sarcasm is a beautiful thing...

I'm not worried about getting it fixed just wanted to know if the mechanic was being honest when he said its a common thing

I've not experienced this in a year of ownership.

Are you talking about the DIC? The panel in the middle of your instrument cluster that displays MPH, Trip info and MPG? If so, is it appearing scrambled when you first start up? I saw on another forum that people are seeing this where it is real cold. They let the car warm up, then turn it off and back on and it works fine. Just and idea...

sorry yes i meant the DIC..

I live in northern VA and it isn't that cold here.. It happens whenever I turn the car on.

I have to wait another week because there computers aren't working, so they can't tune the module.

I haven't driven the camaro in three weeks.

Am I understanding this correctly?
"You have to wait another week because their computers aren't working, so they can't tune the module."
And
"You haven't driven the camaro in three weeks
."
