Data overlay for GoPro camera?
Is there some software that can log track lap data to then overlay on the video from a GoPro camera? I know Harry's is popular but the video on everyone I've seen is pretty bad. I have an android phone if that helps. But the GoPro has wifi in it as well.

I've been using track addict - android.
Been using the phone camera, but it has integration with the wifi GoPro cameras |

I use RaceChrono on Android and Dashware on PC to bring it all together.

TrackAddict on my phone and Race Render to combine the GoPro and TrackAddict info. I use GoPoint BT1 for logging. I have an iPhone and Mac. Not sure if it translates to the Android. Search for the track day video thread. Lots of good info there.

hmm I tried using TrackAddict last week (on my Android) and it wouldn't log. Do you just need to load the track, then click the "record" tab at the top and then it auto starts based on your movement? I'm wondering if I didn't have good GPS signal. I put it in my cup holder because I didn't have a phone mount.

For those of you using TrackAddict, how important is it to get an OBD-2 device? Is the app good enough without it or are you really missing out without the OBD-2?

I just put an OBDII on my car with Track Addict and finalized it in race render. Works great.
You will get allot more information out of the computer to use with an OBD such as gear, RPM, throttle position, etc. With just the phone you will get GPS speed (Which can be erratic), GPS Position, and g-forces. So much more fun when you get all of the data foe how you were driving. I highly recommend the OBDII module when recording.

I use the Torque app on Android for data with a cheap Bluetooth OBDII adapter along with my GoPro (and a GPS for track mapping and lap analysis)

Harrys will overlay on a gopro video, and the video looks great on my note 4 so I don't bother. All you have to do is switch the location of the video. Check harry's site for details.
