I am hoping to finally get my apex race scoop and heritage grille installed this week, and so I need to jack up my camaro in my driveway which has a slight slope. If I use jack stands and put 2 bricks or something behind the back tires will that be ok to keep the car from rolling down hill and keep it in place? I've jacked my car up on the driveway before, but i only took off one tire at a time, not 2 at once. Any insight is appreciated!

I wouldn't do it on a slope, but I always error on the side of safety.

Iv used some on a slope, however they were larger then most and had a pretty good size base.

Really depends on how steep the slope is. Personally I'd avoid it and if you don't need to remove the wheels, I'd use ramps instead.

AND if you do the job in your drive way....not only would it be a good idea to block your rear wheels, ALSO you need to SET YOUR EMERGENCY BRAKE.

Personally I never recommended jacking on a sloped surface. With that being said if the slope is very minor you can just pull up the emergency brake and place a 4X4 behind your wheels for safety. A car jacked up on a sloped surface can easily fall off of normal jack stands which can potentially hurt you or damage the car/frame.

When I block my wheels I use 2"x4"s because I figure bricks are just tall enough to get pushed by the tires. Of course this has to be on a level or near level surface.

You can also use your emergency brake. However I think this only helps if the rear end is on the down slope.

Are you going to use a floor jack and jack stands?

If all you're doing is removing the front facia, then you don't have to jack up the front of the car (assuming you're not lowered or having larger then 20" wheels). I just installed my ZL1 grill a few weeks ago and was able to do it by turning the front wheels to get to the bolts on each side. It really wasn't too bad at all.

Agreed. You don't need to jack the whole front end up.

When I installed my intake and scoop/washer fluid bottle I only removed the front left wheel.

This was my procedure:
1. Turn wheels all the way to the left.
2. Engage parking brake.
3. Block rear wheels.
4. Break lug nuts loose on front left wheel.
5. Jack up front left of car and put on jack stand.
6. Remove lug nuts and front left wheel.
7. Remove front left wheel well liner.
8. Remove front right wheel well liner.
(Having the wheels turned to the left allows you to get the screwdriver
in there to remove the 5 screws of the right wheel well liner.)
9. Remove front fascia.

You already saw my how-to PDF so just follow that once you've got it up on the jack stand.

how bout leave it in park and set the parking brake ?? you won`t have any issues.

One more comment:
Stick the wheel you removed under the car, right behind the now empty wheel well. This will save your legs should something shift.
