LS9 to BTR stage 3 PD cam

Just upgraded from the LS9 cam to the BTR stage 3 PD cam. Getting tuned now hope to see some big gains.

Excellent question. What's your power level now?

This graph has my before and after cam swap numbers. The LS9 cam made 638/571@ 12lbs of boost vs the BTR stage 3 PD cam that made 686/564 at 11.5 lbs of boost.

Those are stout numbers. Interesting that it lost both hp and tq in the lower rpm range compared to the LS9 cam. It should have picked up power, but it picked up nicely on the top end.

I see what I did there. Anyway, why is the torque 100 lower than the HP?

Horsepower is a number derived from torque in motion. The formula is HP=(TQxRPM)/5252. That is why you will always see them equal at 5252RPM on a dyno graph.
