warranty is great but you might wana think about changing your oil more often,, i dont care what the OLM tells you.

Great to hear they're fixing it. I'm glad Jeff was able to help.
Rod failures aren't caused by oil changes, probably a casting flaw or bad rod bolt. It happens.
The oil change monitor is good to look at, but I know some of the LLT equipped vehicles are being recalled to adjust it and I haven't gone under 30%.

Thats a heavy duty forged crank in those cars that GM uses in advertising. How the hell did that break. Was it defective at install???

It shouldn't matter whether they used regular oil or synthetic....the OM say specifically to use regular 5W30 oil in a V6.

Oil is oil....it won't make or break an engine so long as you change it regularly.
