This "Conspiracy Theory" thread title is quite misleading... really all you're talking about is just plain ol' "hype" here. And even then, there's not really much hype outside of the enthusiast websites... most people have only seen/heard of it from watching Transformers, or seeing it at an auto show. I remember every time I saw a commercial or news bit for the NAIAS, I kept waiting for a mention of the Camaro... but there was none. They sure mentioned the Volt a lot though.

Now, if you're talking about the huge crowds that gather around the cars... that's more of just a "holy @#$% that is an awesome-looking car!!" but still not quite hype. In fact, up until very recently, I think GM has kept quite mum to the general public as far as the 2010 Camaro goes... most people don't even know that production has already started

But the stuff you may read on these forums may sound like hype... but keep in mind, we are a very small part of the population

But real hype... I'd say Halo 3 wins that one. That was EVERYWHERE... I even went to 7-eleven to get a Slurpee, and there were Halo 3 cups...!!! That was annoying... especially for such an over-hyped product that under-delivered (it was pretty boring, IMO).

Anyway... OMG CAMARO!! IT'S ALMOST HERE!! BEST-LOOKING CAR EVER, WITH PERFORMANCE TO BOOT!! (yes, I'm actually very excited

)

I know it!! I've been waiting for 3 years, so I think I can be patient for the next couple months... well, at least on the outside... on the inside, I'm freaking out... haha
