looking for help with a cheep detail

i wan to do a good detail on my car, but not looking to spend too much money right now, as times are tough lol. any suggestions on a list of products that are too much? dont want to buy anything un necessary.

I can definitely understand tough times. If you don't mind me asking, what's your budget? That would help me determine the best course for you.

Bare minimum to me would be: two buckets, wash mitt, soap, wax, and waterless wash so you wouldn't have to break out the two buckets as often.

Only thing I'd maybe add is a good water based trim and tire dressing.

I would suggest Chemical Guys Blacklight and V7 Hybrid Sealant Spray.

Blacklight is a great glaze/sealant that will give your paint the appearance of spending hours polishing it, and V7 is an easy-to-use spray sealant that will lock in the shine.

Keep in mind that Blacklight will not replace machine polishing and results are not as long lived, but it will at least give you an inexpensive option of creating a great appearance.

I've used it on light and dark colors.

I little tip, Autopia price matches. Look at Chemicalguys.com price first.

Use the V7 after each wash.

i went a while without a job and just got one so my budget isnt very high. 50 bucks, maybe 60 at the most. i know im going to be getting a clay bar kit since ive had my car since december and havent clayed it yet. i also have a follow on question. i washed my car 2 days ago and same day i guess i drove behind someone that was leaking something and its all over my car. it appears to be some sort of lubricant. thanks for all the suggestions so far. i will take them all into thought. im looking for things i can get at the local autozone.

You might look into Meguires cleaner wax. Depending on the condition of your paint, it might offer the correction you need.

A small bottle, enough I do a few cars, comes in Meguires clay kit.

You might also look into their Mirror Glaze line. Reasonably priced!!!
