Wow. The payment was never a problem for me I just didn't think spending almost (60%) as much as a small house here in South Jersey would be a prudent move for a toy.

I already had my dream Vette picked out:

A Torch Red C7 with:
  • M7
  • Z51
  • Black Wheels
  • NPP
  • MR
  • Nav
  • Red Seats

I do love (in the car sense) my 1LE. And trading/selling a 6 month old car would really be a stupid move.

What to do? What would you do?

C7. The Camaro looks old compared to it.

It's all a matter of what you want and the numbers. Unless the Camaro is worth more than you owe, I would wait.

Is that $3k that you accrued?....or is it the $3k top off incentive being offered right now? (The incentive top off won't work on the vette)

Haha. I was waiting for that one. Yup 2 unmarried sisters out of the six. But I carefully chose the pick of the litter.

Yup, plenty of equity. But I think you are right, it would be smart to wait until the Vette fever wears off and the Z51 discounts start flowing. The new Z06 will help that.

Yes, the card top off. Darn. I did not know that. But as I look around there are no LZT1 Z51s anyway. So I will have to wait or order.

How tall are you first off I went and sat in a new c7 today and it's cramped my knees was in the dash with the seat all the way down and back I could not move in the car. I had barely enough room in my c6 reason I just sold it.

I am six foot with a long torso and short legs. I am at least going to drive one once the weather breaks. I will want to try the sport seats, but I hear good things about the base seats.

I think the newness of the C7 = bad trade for you, but then again if my wife encourage me to get a C7 I'd do it immediately.

At your age you should know when the wife gives you permission to get something you better do it, but then again think of what you will have to get her on her birthday!

What kind of house can you get for 100k in south jersey. I can't buy a lot around here for that...

Honestly, if your 60 get the car you want now. Not being a dick, but you don't know how much longer you'll be wanting to get in and out of a low car. My dad's 60, has always been healthy, but is now getting arthritis in his knees.

Good advice as others have advised as well. My wife is much smarter than me which keep me guessing.

I have a bit of a wait for her 60th birthday. I have plenty of time to save up. I married young and up.

Respect for what you went through.

Nice! Okay, I will ask it. Does your wife have any unmarried sisters?
