I think you're going to want to raise the mesh and light source up so it's centered in the circle. The top half of the circle being cut off is kind of the theme of the headlights and especially the taillights. Actually the center portion of the lamps looks almost exactly like the showcar already except it could be brighter; I think you need to focus on flooding the outer portion of the houseing with light when the center part is dark to get the look of the concept.
