Thank you!

A single case contains 9 sheets; 18" x 32" and I used nearly 3 cases (27 sheets / 105 sq ft)

I highly recommend cutting each sheet into 6x pieces of 18" x 5.33" and then in half again. You can take the time to cut each piece perfectly, but at the end of the day; When you're using 3 cases for a complete install, it's a complete waste of time.

Don't even measure it, just slice the entire sheet in half down the center horizontally, leaving you with 2x pieces ~9" x 32"
> Cut those 2 pieces in half, leaving you with 4 pieces ~9" x 16"
> Cut those 3 pieces into thirds, leaving you with 12 pieces ~9" x 5.33"

Remove all seats, panels, front and rear seatbelts and center console, from there;
  • Do the trunk first
  • Come down the back seating area
  • Line the front floor as much as able while lifting the carpet up (PITA)
  • Cover the back deck top/bottom
  • Line both rear wheel wells as much as you can reach
  • Save 4 sheets (48 pieces) for the doors
  • Take very special care in not covering any obvious holes in the car where the panels "lock into"
  • You'll need three cases of dynolyner for doors, front and rear seating areas, use whatever is remaining in trunk
  • Don't cut yourself

I did this in my V6... well worth it!

But so far I just can't muster the motivation to do it to my 1LE... especially when i think about how much my hands hurt after working the mat into place

I did this to my '10 SS over 5 years ago. I was amazed that GM put absolutely no unibody
insulation in the Camaro- NONE. I did from the front seats back 100% including the inner
1/4 panels, w/hsgs, compartment floor, etc. I did it to eliminate road noise and block out
my J/pipes. I posted on this back then also. (May 16, 2011).

I did this with Fatmat not dyna mat. Same concept but half the price. It is well worth doing. Alot of work, and it was in the summer so it was very hot to do, and didn't need a heat gun it was so hot. Cut it into smaller pieces and put it together like tetris.

These are actually two very different products. Fatmat is an asphalt roofing material with longevity issues due to heat (falls off vertical panels) and Dynomat is butyl rubber sound deadening material. Lowe's actually sells the product in the store (and cheaper), albeit re-branded under "Peel and seal".

"The FatMat is mainly a rubber mastic with a asphalt mixture which is used for the adhesion. The only reason it has an odor at all is because it comes straight off the press and is sent to you." - Fatmat corporation

Fatmat was originally created by a guy that owns a roofing company.

Dynomat carries almost no noticeable smell and has much higher reviews over the years in application, use and longevity (very well documented). I've heard too many complaints of the smell and later falling off panels so I no longer recommend Fatmat.

If it works and you like it, by all means, enjoy and congrats!

I've used Raammat also. Cheaper than Dynamat but also a bit thinner
so it may not work a well.

I've done 2 cars with Noico 80 mil, and this will be my 3rd. Excellent price and has been a great product for me. I will be using Soundskin on my doors, only because I won it in a raffle at a car audio show. I will also be using CCF and MLV where I can.
