SLP powerflo-X cross over pipe question!

So I just ordered the powerflo-X cross over pipe assembly for use with stock intake manifolds for my SS. My question is that since the assembly has mufflers in the mid pipes can I pass inspection with the loudmouth I exhaust. People are telling me that I won't pass inspection unless I have mufflers so would the the mid pipes mufflers count or would I need to get the loud mouth II axle back? Cause I really like the sound of the loud mouth I.

Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken those are actually straight thru resonators....not mufflers.

They are a little like resonators. The car will not be too loud with them on. If you take them off then they will be. I have them and I took the resonstors off. I wanted louder. I would not worry to much about inspection right now. Its 5 years away! (at least for CA is)

So if I removed the resonators and replaced them with straight pipes and use the Loud mouth II axle back will that pass Inspection. I live in NC and we need inspections every 2 yrs : / and they're really cracking down on not having them now.

It will get a little louder if you take out the resonator on a L99 or resonators on LS3. They are mainly there to keep down exhaust drone. What ever you cut out make sure to keep the h-pipe on the LS3. If you take it out you need a X-Pipe. And L99 resonator cut out needs and X-Pipe for sure or you lose lowend power and TRQ.

ok slp's powerflo-x kit comes with a crossover x-pipe. I think im probably going to get the loudmouth I axle back with it just so I don't hit myself in the head down the road wishing my car was louder. As for the whole inspection thing I'll probably get a pair of mufflers when it comes time to get one and do a little switcheroo, then take em off after the inspection.
