yeah of its someone I know and can drive a manual. its just a car ... nobody usually asks though. I usually dont ask some others either.

Amen brother, thought I was the only one. Its just a car (mine is cammed out and modded), if they know how to drive and are not idiots I say have fun but be respectful. Hell I even let my buddys use my Z06 and sti etc.

I absolutely will let people drive my vehicles. (who I trust) even my old FAST bikes. I would. I love "showing" off my vehicles and if its a performance vehicle that I did stuff to then yeah, I want others to share my fun.
I can see why some might not want to let your $60k zl1 but some of you guys with your $20k (if that still) LS. Come on man! These are just another car. Get over it!

Very rarely. The only people ive let drive my car are the 2 friends that helped me find it/fix it. And only once lol. If something happens to the car, it has to be my fault, so I cant be mad at anyone else.

At our last local SCCA event I had the opportunity to drive 3 camaros that weren't mine. All Gen 5 SS that were at different HP and suspension levels.
I own a 2010 LT. We are all good friends that know each others driving skill. Our SCCA has a 2 day event. Saturday is practice and Sunday counts.
My wife made fun of us because we were like little kids running around to get our turn at each others car.

It all good until a friend totals your car, your insurance will cover it and any other cars, if it is an at fault accident. They will then raise your rates and your buddy is off the hook. My son learned this the hard way, letting his buddy drive his car. He hit two parked cars, totaled his 325, a corolla, and damaged a silverado. He walked with no financial obligations at all, my rates increased. Be sure the borrower can afford to deal with the financials or you will be stuck with it.

I'm getting my first brand new car tomorrow and its going to be an 2015 Chevy Camaro LS. I'm ****ing excited its 1:01 AM and still cant sleep. However to get back to the topic, i'm most likley going to let my mom, dad, sister, the girlfriend and a few buddies of mine drive the car.

You could drive my old lady before TOUCHING my Camaro, Harley Davidsons, or my dog. Besides, Thor Vom Baerenzwinger SchH II, wouldn't let you touch him without permission. Permission is only given in German and MUST come from a family member..

i dont even need one hand to count how many people i would loan one of our cars to. but i have zero issues about using a valet service on the strip. it moves about 50 feet and they are always parked out front.
