Head and VVT Cam Package

Hey Everyone:

So here is my plan for the car over the next few months:

Ordering bare Trick Flow GenX 255 heads through Advanced Induction. They will be installing BTR valve spring kit and Manley valves.

I'll also be ordering a custom VVT cam through Pat G.

I know I will also have to purchase the DOD delete kit, lifters, trunion upgrade or all new rockers, oil pump and timing set. Am I missing anything here?

I'm on the fence with a stall. I was thinking of a cam that will allow me to retain the stock converter. The reason is for streetability. My wife will be driving the car so I have to keep it smooth. I don't have plans for track use I just want to have power throughout the rev range and have that power at any RPM when the peddle is mashed.

If I have to go with a stall I would need something that will keep the drivability near stock. Is this possible? What size should I be looking at? Are there any other items I am leaving out/neglecting with my plan?

Thanks for the input.

Thanks 62nalide.

That is another dilemma. I am considering having Pat G. remote tune with the help of T and T. There are only a few tuners that have experience with VVT tuning and Pat has had lots of experience with VVT.

The other bonus is no matter what changes I make in the future Pat will update the tune for free.

I'll be sure to provide lots of photos and status updates as I move along.

You have some quality parts for sure.

BUT a cam with a stock converter and all those good parts will be pointless if you ask me bud. The drivability will be fine I'd say with at least a 3400 stall. Just my .2 bud.

I would put a 3200 single disc and it will still drive very good.

No offense taken to any input. That's what I'm looking for. So would the addition of the stall affect instant throttle response I'm looking for with this setup?

Any brands that are known to work well on the street?

Jeff I would have recommended this multi disc converter for him but he said he wouldn't be taking it to the track, so going triple would be a waste. But either is a great choice!
