cammed 1le roll call

Was wondering if theres any Cammed 1le's out there that are avid to a 1/8 or 1/4 mile track. and if they regear'd after the cam or stayed on stock gearing. was curious how they run as far as ET and MPH. a friend of mine has one H/C bolt ons etc. just broke 500whp with a CMS setup. hes hesitant to regear the car to accommodate the Cam, he doesn't think it will help. I've tried to explain it to him but it doesn't Register. Was hoping there were a few of you that have done both and have #s to compare. Thanks any help is appreciated

I have a cammed 1LE and make 498rwhp. I've only gone to the track twice but my best time so far is 12.1 @ 116.6

What's the lift on your cam? Pretty impressive #s for no heads...

Mine is putting down 496whp & 446ftlbs with a cam and bolt ons. No head or intake work. Have not made it to the track yet though. My tuner, who was actually the owner of LMR, said my car is a solid high 11 sec car with a decent driver. I tend to believe him since LMR has tons of drag racing records. Meaning they practice what they preach. But don't know if I have the skills to get it there though. Need to find out one of these days.

Almost identical numbers. I know my car is an 11 sec car, but I'm still a 12 sec driver. It'll just take more practice.
