I am trying to get a bulk purchase through a local recycler here in Sacramento on ALL of there LCD mirrors. If I do, I will be able to offer them to all. Also have a guy who is making to plugs for them. Trying to get them plugNplay for us camaro owners, so there will be no tapping into wires! We'll see in the next day or so...
I'm definitely interested in plug-n-play.

Are ZL1 parts out yet? That is supposed to have a camera mirror, might be a simple swap

Well... Everything is coming together except the female plug fro the stock harness.... Having a heck-of-a-time trying to find this. Have the mirror plug and pins but so far no luck on the second... I have been cross-referencing Amp/Tyco part numbers and NADA! Basically I need the plug that is located in the stock camaro mirror....

PS..... Just got the hookup at FORD for the same thing..... Guess thats going to be the next thing for me!

I've checked into that and there is no female connector. The only version that exists is the one that is molded into the factory mirror. The closest we can get to plug n play is using the correct pins and plugging those into the right spots and taping the whole thing up.

Or I suppose if you wanted to chop up your factory mirror for the connector, that's an option. A lot of dremel work though and again... you'd be out the factory mirror.

The guy that sold me my new mirror (Bob) told me that he too is working towards making a pigtail to connect the original and new plugs, since he sells the mirrors for multiple GM products. I believe that he said that he new the manufacturer of the original plug, and was working to buy some in bulk. You can try to contact him for additional info. He said that I could post his email address for easier contact: theprims@sbcglobal.net

It still won't be plug and play. You have to run the wires to whatever camera you use.

Well duh ...... It's PLUGnPLAY as you do not have cut any wires. All you have to do is run the VIDEO signal to the mirror. Might even set it up for power and ground for the camera also. We'll see......
