Door lock question

Hey everyone - I like to warm up my vehicles on a cold morning, and I attempted this for the first time in the Camaro this morning, and it wouldnt let me........I started the car, cranked the heat, then attempted to lock the doors with my 2nd keyfob, and it wouldnt lock...I tried all the settings for doorlocks in the menu screen....am I missing something? I can do this on my Titan, and was able to on the FJ and Mustang as well. What gives?

Its a mt, so no auto start...thanks. Tell me they didnt overlook this. Granted, Im on a fairly secluded piece of property, but I still like to lock it up and step back inside for 5-10 minutes while she roasts.

Never tried that. Did you try closing the door, then locking her with the key? I would think it would let you lock it since the key is in and it would be like driving off...

Might have to throw a bag or something heavy on the drivers seat, some cars are smart and will act goofy like that if it doesnt sense weight on the drivers seat. Kinda of how the seat belt alarm works.

it might be a safety so you don't lock your keys in the car.

If the driver's seat is anything like the passenger's seat, there are enough sensors in it to tell the computer that there is indeed a person (as opposed to a bag of groceries or whatever) in the seat, so that probably wouldn't work.

The second FOB WILL NOT WORK if there is one in the ignition.

You'd be suprised, sometimes a bowling ball bag will do the trick.

True. I tried to unlock the trunk with one fob while the other was in the ignition. It don't work.

Since I saw a thread on door locks I figured I would ask here, sorry going to hijack for a minute. I tried changing the setting on my car so that when I hit the unlock button it would unlock both doors and it doesn't seem to work. Anybody have this problem or know if it actually works?
