5th Gen hype

So I've had people tell me that the only reason the camaros are so popular and such headturners is because there new and people haven't gotten tired of seeing them. They tell me that in a few years the hype for them will be over and they will be just any other car they see on the road, similar to the Mustang.Do you think this is true?If yes how soon will this happen?

keep in mind that im refering to the average person not a car enthusiast

It happens with every vehicle too some degree but doesn't mean the owners wont love it, I have friends with 4th gens who love them even though they are everywhere.

Did you ask them why they have such a negative attitude?

Every time I see a vette, I turn my head... hopefully the 5th gens will have similiar staying power. Regardless, if it's loud enough, they'll look!!

It's true to a certain degree, I think. To the average person, then yes, in another year or two they won't care and it'll just be another 5th gen just like the other three parked at the Wal Mart down the block. Though, to the owners, enthusiasts, and people who just have good taste, they'll always be "Camaros" rather than just a another car. For example, as someone else said, Corvettes still turn my head, yet they're everywhere. It's all about personal taste really. In Tallahassee, FL, Porsches are everywhere too, but I don't give a rat's ass about them because I find them ugly lol. It's just taste and is up to the individual whether or not they're "head turners."

Believe it or not there are some people who are not the least bit impressed with the camaro lol......
I think in time other cool stuff will come out and these wont seem so special as they are now which is why you want to enjoy them now.

Yes it will happen unfortunately. the mustang had 2 rather major re-designs in 1999 and 2005. Both cars do not attract much attention from me when driving down the road anymore. The Camaro will always look better than the majority of cars on the road, kind of like how I feel the 3rd generation Corvette looks compared to even other corvettes. That styling was highly inspired in my opinion, much like the current Camaro. I feel this generation will have a strong collector following in the future. Whether or not it gains value like the 60's and 70's muscle cars is another matter. But this car is beautiful.
