LS9 Supercharger Kit
(Disclaimer: Feel free to move or redirect me to the right thread)
Hey Guys! I need your help. One of my friends that owns a 2011 Convertible is looking into installing the LS9 Supercharger kit for LS3 motors. One of the problems we have come across is the brace that runs under the hood for support. Does anyone know if that is in included in the kit or does anyone have the GM part number? We know Edelbrock has a new brace for their supercharger kit, But does GM offer one? Another question is that does GM have to ability to remap the factory CPU to accept the supercharger? This is what Edelbrock's kit reads: Convertible Brace (required after installing E-Force Supercharger into 2011-12 Convertible Camaro SS) 15956 NOTE: 2011 Camaro Convertible models are equipped with an auxiliary, bolt-in, core support brace, which is not directly compatible with the Edelbrock supercharger. Installation of this kit will require removal, modification, or replacement of this brace. Thanks in advanced!! Cole |
