Rattle 2011 Camaro

Does anyone have drive a 2011 Camaro V8 that has or had a rattle sound that is coming from the passenger side floor board. It is a metal on metal sound. Sounds like it is from the exhaust. I am just wondering if anyone else out there with a 2011 has or had this problem and what they did to fix it.

Thank you

I've never had a rattle on my 2011. There is a heat shield under the car that protects the undercarriage from the exhaust heat. It's possible this heat shield is loose.
Edit-I read that your car is an automatic in your other thread. If you hear the rattle on the highway, your exhaust might be touching the bottom of your car. The L99 shakes when the car is running on 4 cylinders on the highway (from the AFM).

I had a rattle in my passenger side kick panel speaker. Rattles on bumpy roads, high bass, or open cutouts

I thought some people with automatics, and a rattle, discovered that it was the vent tube from the transmission too close to the heatshield

rattle

Many have also had their exhausts coming into contact with the cross brace; usually when going over bumps, especially those that have changed their exhausts (me included).
The brace is directly under the seats. A few washers on each of the brace bolts will provide enough clearance to resolve it...if that's the issue.

Well the last time I went to the dealer I was with them under the car looking and they said that everything looks good and tight. They did adjust the heat shield some but I still don't know why I have this problem. They never really did any test like taping on the exhaust to see if they heard anything rattle. So I just don't know what to do.

I have straight pipes and a borla arak cat-back in my 2011 2SS 6-speed manual and I'm getting a rattling on my passenger side front end. I have no clue what it is though I've been to chevrolet three times and had my differential fluid changed and my right front stabilizer link replaced but it's still rattling loudly. Even when I start the car I'm getting it in meutral and first gear.

I have a metallic rattle too on my 2013 1ss manual. Definitely sounds like something exhaust based. Happens when revvinng the engine in neutral and letting off, or when I am coasting in gear. Definitely sounds like it would be some sort of heat shield on the exhaust, but I can't pinpoint it.

I'm going to see if I can pinpoint it later with my son to help.

Have you considered trying to get this diagnosed at a dealership? They should be able to help you in this matter. Please let us know any updates you may have!
