2011 Ss my :What controls the spark plug firing?
Prior to the ignition coils. Is there a distributor of some sort? And where is it?
Or is it computerized? |

Distributors are long gone, completely electronic. There are several components that control spark in modern cars such as crank sensor, cam sensor, ECM, to name a few.
