A set of Goodyear Eagle F1 are about 1600, and Michelin PS2s are roughly 1850....not cheap by any means....

How does that saying go, "you've got to pay to play"? If this is true, I guess I can feel a little glad that they offer such huge wheels and tires from the factory, there's much less need to go aftermarket for wide rubber.

I think I will sell my car by this summer & then save up to get a new Z-28. Its would be just too hard knowing its a supercharged camaro from the factory with all the upgrades I want to do to my car already done. Plus It wont be too many models on the road because the new bodystyle will likely be in by 2014. Its a win win for me

not sure about the ZL1 moniker, this is from the SLP website...they are building only 69 of these to commemorate the ZL1 of 1969????? http://slpcamaro.com/zl-models/zl1/

Yep, I would think that lends some credence to the claim that SLP owns the ZL1 name....

(On a side note, I'm glad to see they opted to work on the front facia...but I wish they would have been a little more original.....)

yeah kind of looks like all of the other "suspected" Z/28 or HP edition camaro sketches we have seen on this site for the past year? Some originality might have scored them some points.

Like I said, I am a Ford fanatic, I needed to come to this site equipped with more than opinion before stepping into the lions den. The Mustang community has grown too vast, any anti-GM statement made on one of those site are quickly agreed to without any retort.. Here I can exercise my educated analysis, which is open to criticism and correction from all members... and that feedback provided usually broadens my perspective, or.. ultimately taken into consideration...

What fun is it to make a educated statement without having an educated response? That being said, keep your head high... I highly doubt my post will be deleted by the Moderators, their first love and responsibility is this website, even if they tell you its the Camaro...

PS: If you do own a Camaro and we met in real life... I have no choice but to battle you to the death.. It is in my DNA..

As Jean Girard said: "Because although today I am friendly. Tomorrow will be war!"
You sir sound like a fearless foe… I would gladly clash with you to the death in real life then purchase you a frosty pint as we discuss our past kills on our way to drunken stupor…

You are correct, the stripes were made available on the Z10 and Z11 Indy Pace Car versions.

Call it what you will, convertible was available in any version from 6cyl. to SS396, it was not available on the Z/28 and was specifically listed as one of "things" that could not be ordered on a Z/28.

Back In July I posted this about the Z/28 intro

It was VP Stracke being quoted that the Z/28 WOULD be introduced on the ALPHA platform. So, is the HP Edition just bridging the gap until that time or are they going to intro ALPHA early like RHLMARINE stated on post 368.? Still the biggest open issue of the thread! And I believe when you take comments from "those in the know", we are getting the BRIDGE EDITION (unless we are all surprized)... due to fact Ford is making so many leaps. I would love to see ALPHA come out early for what its worth... (with full testing of course)...

Especially for 80K.... PLUS the cost of your car.

How could GM let the ZL1 name get away?

Well they didn't really let it get away. SLP has been and continues to be a big help to GM. I would say that although they would rather have it to themselves it's in good hands. Without SLP the 4th gen wouldn't ever have even had an SS.
