Test drove a Cruze, very impressive car. Way better than the new Civic with its Dodge Neon styling.

I would never dis another Chevy...well maybe the Vega...maybe the Chevette too, although the Chevette was a little trooper. Just don't think that steering wheel is sporty looking enough for the Camaro. |

There's nothing wrong with the new steering wheel. It's not bad just because it is shared with the Cruze. It's not the first time the camaro has shared parts with other models.

Gonna go on record and say that I actually LIKE the new steering wheel much better than the 2010 one.

Do not like the wheel in the pic. Will wait and see one in person. Another thing GM does is have the sound system controls on the right of the wheel.
We have a TSX and Accord and they put the sound system controls on the left side so you can rest your left arm on the window sill while driving with the left hand and change vol, channels and mode with out moving your arm/hand and just moving your fingers. You use the radio controls more than the cruise. My GMC truck is a pain for such with radio controls on the rigth. GM has a way to go on ergonomics. See wheel here and it is comfortable: http://www.autos.ca/first-drives/fir...2004-acura-tsx |

HATE the new steering wheel. The steering wheel on the ZL1 is just as hideous. I do like the new dash trim though. Steering wheel is an easy enough swap, and the gauges have slimmer needles which is nice. I can say that I really don't ever look at my speedometer needle. i look at my RPM and the digital speedometer.

Thats what I was going to say, it sounds like everyone likes the new dash and intrument cluster, but not the steering wheel. Assuming the steering column and wiring harness hasnt changed, should be able to swap the wheel out and have the best of 2011 and 2012.

I'm not a fan of the shiny new console trim. Looks less muscle car and more luxury car to me.
