I concur. It never hurts to ask. What's the worst he can say?

Left the dealer went about 1/2 mile and took it back. It shifts fine throughout the gears but the shifter itself now has a ton of play in it. Neutral has more play then before and when it's in gear it feels like it's in neutral. All of the SS camaros on the lot are automatics so I have nothing to compare it to. They got the service manager involved and they're gonna keep it until it's right. This sucks......

Has your Dealership been inside one of these Trannys before?

I would talk personally to the Tech who worked on it and ask him.

You don't want to be the Guinea pig...sounds like it went back together wrong with all that slop you say it has....not good.

Good luck!

I did speak with the tech, he's not exactly sure what it is. Service manager said they'd drop it out and see if they missed something. It drove/shifted just fine, there was just way to much play in the shifter.

I had this same problem with mine! They replaced all syncros and 5th and 6th gear! Took my dealer 2 weeks to complete it! Drives better than new now!!! Took your dealer what? 2, 3 days! I think they may have rushed it!!! Or either mine was really slow!!!

Dealer just called and said they found a cracked sleeve on one of the shift forks. Parts on order and another weekend without my car. Hopefully this will be the final fix.

Just came from dealer and was told the wrong parts showed up today. Now I'm looking at the end of the week before I get it back. And that's if this is the correct fix. I spoke with a viper tech (same transmission) and he said when vipers come in with trans issues they just swap them with a new one. If these new parts are not the fix for the curren problem I want a new trans. The people at my dealership have been very nice and courteous so far but I want my car back and I want it right. The longer it sits there the more chances it has of getting door dings, scratches etc...... The paint and body on this car were perfect when it went in. I'm afraid of what I may find when it comes home.

Hopefully they're able to get you going before weeks end and you can begin enjoying your vehicle again. If this doesn't fix the issue let me know and I'll do what I can to help you.

Ok thanks, I drove through the dealer on my way home and it's still sitting there. Nothing was done today.

2 more days and still no camaro. Last year my 2010 fusions transmission went out and ford had a new trans installed and the car back to me in less than 1 week.
