I don't want to buy All-Seasons, I feel like they're a waste but I dont want to buy a new Summer Set because I wont get the tread I'd need when something did hit..What to do?
My LT2 is my daily driver so I had to get snow tires. At TireRack's recommendation based on metro area temperatures (higher than NY) & snow fall frequency, I got 17" Scorpions over the Blizzaks. For tires & wheels, $999 delivered.
This is my 3rd season with Scorpions, they worked great last year during the "thunder snow" afternoon hellish commute home. It took almost 3 hrs to go 11 miles, I made it because of the tires. Saw several all-season fitted front wheel drive cars just spinning their wheels and pasted one C5 pulled over to the shoulder. Remember, this was not real snow it was 1-3" of slush (everywhere). Buy real snow tires if you don't have an other vehicle for snow (or slush).

I plan on getting the General G-Max, anyone using those?

Recommendations on all-seasons?

Now I have set of Brigstone Blizzaks with some cheap 17" wheels. By the time the second snow hit, I was prepared, and it was definitely worth the money, even if it wasn't exactly the first thing I wanted to buy for my car.

So long as there is no snow or ice on the ground the stock P-Zeros are fine. People should just consider the car has an ass-load of power and it's very easy to break the rear tires lose when temps are high, much less Winter temps.

I'm still probably going to go with something else!! You know, people need to know what they're getting into when buying a car..... seriously!!!!!

SS4FUN....

I agree with you, sometime we may need to drive them in the snow, like being at work and an unsuspecting snow comes along....

Probably going with the G-Max.

I traded in the Silver 2LT that I had at the Friends of the Wounded Vets show that we all went to together...

:-)

Have had it three weeks, and she has spent 2 of them in Florida, I think she has ridden in it once.

I love it so far, still miss the nice dirt-hiding silver though....

Thanks for the congrats, hope to see everyone again this spring-summer!

See the tags... she gave me the idea as that is what she called me in reference to my car.

Jim
