Auto trans help

Can someone steer me in the direction of a qualified transmission shop?Installed a tune from one of the vendors here and now my transmission is slipping.I prefer someone that has extensive knowledge on the 6L80E transmission in the West Palm Beach area.

If you want someone in your area you want Phil at Tampa Tuning. Lots of good things being said about his work. Otherwise Ted at Jannetty is the 6l80e Camaro guru!!

Torq & Lashway or Redline could all help you and are on your side of the state.

We can help with your transmission if you need. Unlike the others who may not take the time to understand your problem, we will take the time to listen and offer the most cost effective solution! Thanks.

Do you need a transmission shop or someone to re-tune your car?

Also, how's your tranny slipping? Can you describe what's happening? Also, have you contacted the vendor to let them know your issue?

I know a really good tuner, but he's over in S.W. Florida.

I am thinking on a transmission shop,I have removed the tune but my transmission still slips. When I say slip I mean it takes a while to go into to gear.Engine rpm raises and car is not keeping up.I talked to the vendor and told him it is not his fault and I am not here to bad mouth him, point the finger,or try to ruin his reputation.
I took the chance tuning my car and I will be the one that makes it right.I do not want to take it to a dealer just in case they do detect a tune.Nor will I trade it in in this condition, bad Karma.

Camaro Corvette GTO CTS-V GM Truck tuner in Tampa

Hi Oh,
Phil Im from Tampa Tuning. www.TampaTuning.com
I tuned One 2008 C6 Corvette A6 and one Gen5 2011 Camaro A6 today, and two Six speed Gen 5 Camaro's today and one was cammed. 13 hours of tuning. Im beat lol.

There's alot of guys that cut and paste the same engine or tranny tune 100's of times in differant cars, and that's when problems occur. Because every car reacts differant to modifications, I build off the stock tune each time. yes it takes longer, but im not a push them in and push them out tuner.

Mail order or canned tuned are just tunes made for another cars with the same modifications, but will work well in your car. 90% percent of the time they work well, but they dont optimize the car's performance, but you'll notice a nice differance.

You cant properly tune the car unless your plugged into the car with a wideband and tuning it with senors on and off to secure data logging for open and closed loop performance.

There's no BS smoke and mirrors with me. Id love for you to come up to Tampa for a professional plug in custom tune, but lashaway is closer to you will take care of the car for sure.
Phil

Cool

What? What's this?? A reputable tuner who also thinks mail order tuning is inaccurate and shoddy?

Good for you Phil! Glad someone agrees with us on the matter.

Case in point, you cannot go wrong when you hook up with a traditional performance tuning shop!
