Thanks everyone!!! As of now I'm going to order a steering setup from PTFB (a 2nd gen camaro performance part company), as well as some parts to restore the interior. Also from a parts car I would like to get some bumpers without those ugly blocks on the front. I did a photoshop so you can see for yourself how much better the car looks without the bumper guards!!! Let me know what you think!

Not a whole lot done for awhile. Just driving it around and tweaking little things here and there! Here are some more recent pics of the car. Biggest visual things are blacked out the headlight bezels and added a front spoiler I made myself!

Before the spoiler got the black carbon fiber vinyl added.

and with the black carbon vinyl. Looks a lot better like this!

Let me know what you guys think!

Are you still planning on removing the bumperettes? Any updated interior pictures for the new parts? Looks like you're enjoying it which is what matters the most!

Yes and yes! I decided that instead of just taking off the bumperettes (leaving holes in the bumpers) I'm going to find a pair without them to begin with. Also it requires me to take the bumper off to do that, so just might as well put a new one on. While I'm at that I'm going to tuck it closer to the car as well, making it appear smaller. It's on the "to-do" list

The interior has been partially restored, as you can see (sorta) below. It's hard to see the difference in some parts, but trust me, the interior SEM dye paint made a world of difference on the trim and door panels. A new rear seat cover and foam are in the basement, just have to get around to putting it together. Also a new steering wheel, dash guage bezel, lower dash, and new door sill plates are all down there as well to complete the interior resto. Also down there is a complete Moog front end suspension rebuild kit which also needs to get put on...

So I have a lot of parts, but not enough time! I drive the car daily so I have to try and keep it drivable while restoring it, so that's why the dash is a problem. I also leave for college in 2 weeks so it will be staying at home and I'll work on it when I get the chance on breaks.

Here's some pics!
SWAY BAR BEFORE-------

SWAY BAR AFTER-------

INTERIOR BEFORE--------

(You can see the rear panels here are really faded, seat is still the same at the moment )

INTERIOR AFTER------

Parts to be put on...sometime

That's all for now!

Do the Moog updates at least before you leave for school, that should make a difference. Soon you'll have to find some sticker rubber...Interior is looking good with the fresh color, and it looks like your current back seat is rip free?

Oh it should make a huge difference. My tie rod arms are so worn out, and my tires are getting worn on the inside much worse than the outside...but it drives straight as an arrow!

The hole is on the lower drivers side, it's really big and just out of sight in the picture. Also the whole seat was dyed at some point and it's looking really worn. I have a brand new seat cover set for it as well as new foam!

Are you going to flip the tires to try and get some more miles out of them before they're too gone, or are you going for new ones? I'm sure your passengers will appreciate the new foam and cover...

Well front tires both wear on the inside so flipping those wouldn't help, and the rear tires are bigger than the fronts so I can't do that either. I'd rather not buy new but at this point it may be my only option. And yeah i'm sure they will! Not many ride in the back but the ones that do I'm sure will like it

If you don't have directional tread, I would have the tires taken off and flip them on the rim. You might have to put up with no white lettering on your front tires, but it sure beats buying new.

Yeah I almost got one of those! I like the '77-'78 front end that yours has, and those wheels fit perfectly

Sure am! It's the best site for 2nd gens no doubt. Here's my progress thread, it's a lot more detailed than this one-

Well it's been a few months since an update but since I'm at college there isn't much to be said. But there are a few things!

I've been driving the car as much as possible when I'm home, which hasn't been much. I got a new rear bumper (without the guards) and am working on getting the front from the same parts car. Haven't gotten to do too much besides clean it though when I'm home, and added a Nastyz28.com decal to support the website! Here's a pic when I was home over break. That's all for now!
