can't sleep!!!!

hey guys, so it's about 130 in the morning, and I can't get to sleep. just got out of school last week and I haven't gotten used to not having to study and walk around campus all day haha, I think i'm gonna have to up the amount of exercise i'm doing to make up for it and fall in my bed exhausted every night. oh the joys of being young and full of energy with nothing to do! btw, i'm 3 weeks away from finishing round 1 of p90x! anyways, thanks for reading my rant, killed a few minutes writing this

Sucks that you can't sleep. I'm off work in 7 minutes and I run my weekly vampire cruises because I don't get tired until about 5am. Good luck sleeping.

yea, been falling asleep later and later since my last day of school, I need something to keep me more occupied during the day to tire me out, I hate laying in bed trying to sleep, i've had my ipod on for the past few hours to relax me enough to get to sleep, but it isn't working too well

Next time just go recline in the passenger seat and hmm a lullaby to your camaro - you and the car will sleep soundly.

I've had muscle twitches in my left tricep and forearm since the 1st round of P90X. those push-ups killed me!

Darth, there's a few "exercises" you can do to help you relax to go to bed. Two come to mind: The first one that our Stress Management professor taught us is what she called "Belly Breathing." Basically, you breath in deeply and make your tummy expand with air, hold it for 2 seconds and then fully exhale, using your tummy to "push" the air out. Repeat this process for a good 5 minutes and it should get your breathing into it's usual sleep pattern.

The other one is called "Progressive Muscle Relaxation". The point of this exercise is to get your muscles to feel how they should when you are fully relaxed. The method is kind of tedious but well worth it in the end!

haha thanks, i'll use those techniques tonight if I can't get to sleep. And topgun, I haven't had any twitches, but I can say that the cardio days routinely kick my ass, I did plyometrics today about ten minutes after I got out of bed, and it beat me down, I threw up after I had finished. I can honestly say I will never again try to do plyo without getting something to eat to have energy to do it haha
