I'd be cautious. There is always another car. Look around on the internet using Chevy's website to search other dealerships inventories to try and find exactly what you want.

Has anyone heard of that?
Your dealer really wants to move that unit , and to do so , he is saying anything that he thinks will make that happen
I would not get into that thing off aftermarket sunroof ,it will leak like a wicker basket , it's just a mater a time

If you're buying new, my advice is to order. You'll never have to compromise with an order. Also, be sure to check out my thread on getting invoice.

I love my sunroof on my '13. I think I'd stay away from aftermarket, though.

Yes...aftermarket sunroof do exist.

I would say stay away. They tend to have water leak issues, also it is not under warranty if any issues do arises. Lastly, I know that buying a car, one may not think about the day that if you ever decide to sell the Camaro, most buyers do not want a aftermarket installed sunroof, for the above reason and it will decrease the value of the car.

Will

I had a 2007 Mustang GT with a aftermarket sunroof...It leaked and when I sold it, the aftermarket sunroof decreased the value.

I could make you an aftermarket sunroof with a hacksaw, a sledgehammer and a couple beers.

If you bring the sledgehammer too I'll throw in a discount.

The dealer just wanted to sell you the car he has and don't give a $h-t what you want.Sounds like the same dealer where a member took his car for an oil change & they rotated the tires on his "ss".

My buddy bought a 2010 Camaro SS without sunroof. He had the Chevy dealer install a sunroof that, according to him is now covered by a Chevy (?) warranty.

It's not bad looking, but it opens downward, twixt the headliner and roof and back so he lost some headspace...even more than the stock sunroof loses vs. no sunroof.

Really not too bad, but you also destroy the reverse mohawk look.
