Houston to Akron, Round trip. Straight through both ways. Mine is my DD, love every minute behind the wheel. 12,500 miles so far.

I've run the Tail of the Dragon many times......but when I had a 2000 Miata!

I'll be interested to hear how it is to run it in a heavy car like the Camaro. The Dragon is perfect and an absolute thrill in small, nimble cars like the Miata, Lotus Elise, etc.... I rarely got my car out of 2nd or 3rd gear. The turns just come at you too fast.

Be sure to check out some of the other roads up there too that may be a little more forgiving to drive in a Camaro.

Oh....and as you can see in my sigtag.....I'll be making the roadie this year from Houston to Sturgis (tho not in a ZL1).

The next time you're in Big Sur you should try having lunch at Sierra Mar at the Post Ranch Inn. The food and views are amazing there.

I live in Oregon and last summer my wife and I took ours on a 3000 mile road trip.
We drove from Oregon to LA, then we followed RT 66 to Flagstaff and Sedona AZ.

Are trip took us threw Vegas, Tahoe and Reno NV we ended up on the Oregon Coast then back to the Portland Area. It was the best driving trip i've ever been on.

Where ever we stopped the ZL1 drew a crowed. We are planning another one this summer

Then over to the 101 South bound, past Laguna Seca and back home through the 198 Canyon. Much of these roads are shown in Car and Driver and other mag reviews on video and the mags. Pretty much this drive starts and ends in my backyard!

We did that drive when I was in a Mustang Cobra club in 1998! It was my first time driving through that region. Long undulating roads that lead to sweeping turns. I was trying to check out the scenery and drive at the same time. I cannot wait to do it in my ZL1 in the Summer! You are fortunate to have them in your "backyard".

I have taken mine from Evansville, Indiana to Chicago; trust me, it's one of the most boring trip one can imagine. Flat farmlands for miles the whole way up. I also have had some trips to Cincinnati and Lexington, KY which were rather scenic. Heading up to Indianapolis next week, so that should be another boring drive lol.

We took a 2800 mile trip from Ft. Lauderdale to Indianapolis for CF3 and back. Got to see half a dozen states. No problems and a great ride. Chevy, job well done.

Had a great time running the Tail of the Dragon last month, but the Skyway is really a better run for the ZL1. The Dragon is too heavily patrolled to really let loose. Lots of car and motorcycle guys there though, so the Z got lots of appreciative comments.

Was near Gulf Shores, Alabama and decided to sneak over to Florida for some losing lotto tickets, GPS brought me back to Tuscaloosa pretty much all back roads. It was pleasant, got real close to Pensacola Naval Air station, knew that when every single street you cross is Blue Angel Street, Blue Angel Drive, Blue Angel Circle, so forth and so on

It was a pleasant slightly curvy and hilly, slightly scenic drive

Recently divorced family member, I'm planning on picking him up shortly for a weekend cruise to New Orleans for some well deserved debauchery
